Hot Chocolate On A Spoon Recipe

Ingredients & Supplies

Here’s a list of things you’ll need to assemble your spoons:

Begin by melting the chocolate until it becomes liquid. Dip a spoon in so that it covers the spoon. Let it cool a bit, then dip it again. The best hot chocolate uses more chocolate, so dip the spoon several times. If you have a deep spoon, you can simply scoop it into the chocolate.

After the last dip, roll it in your optional candy garnish or sprinkle it on.

Lay spoons on parchment paper and allow them to cool and harden completely. Package spoons in the clear bags if giving as gifts. Tie with ribbon, a twist tie, or twine.

If you’re giving these as a gift, you’ll want to include instructions on how to use them:

Heat a mug of milk (almond or coconut milk works just as well) and dip the spoon into the mug. Stir until all the chocolate is dissolved. Enjoy hot! Extra sweetener of your choice can be added if it’s not sweet enough.

Flavoring the Chocolate

I love regular hot chocolate, but peppermint is so much better! Add a few drops of peppermint extract to the melted chocolate before dipping your spoons. A few more options include:

Or try any flavor you like!

It’s time for hot chocolate! Have you tried this simple project yet?
